New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie Bashes Jersey Shore!

What do you think? Apparently the New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie hates it and thinks it’s offensive to Italians! I think it’s just funny…

Fans are pumping their fists with excitement over season two of “Jersey Shore.” However, it’s safe to say New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will not be tuning in.

Christie bashed “Jersey Shore” in an ABC interview last weekend, claiming the show gives his state an inaccurate, negative image.

OK, so maybe “bashed” isn’t the right word. But he did express his distaste for the show. When asked if he thought “Jersey Shore” was positive or negative for New Jersey, Christie said, “Negative for New Jersey. I mean, because what it does is takes a bunch of New Yorkers … drops them at the Jersey Shore, and tries to make Americans feel like this is New Jersey.”

Many New Jersey residents and Italian-Americans have also gone on record saying they find the show offensive.

That didn’t stop MTV from signing on the entire crew — sans Angelina — for a third season in Jersey. Lucky for Gov. Christie, Snooki and the gang are in Miami for season two.

Christie assures potential New Jersey tourists, “The Jersey Shore is a beautiful place, and someplace that everybody should come on vacation this summer.” He then added, “We’ve got another six weeks or so of summer left. Come to New Jersey!”

We’ll look forward to hearing what the governor of Florida thinks of the show when “Jersey Shore” hits Miami.

Jersey Shore’s The Situation Is Ready to Release Full Rap Album

Here’s an interview with the man, the myth, the legend himself:

Click on the picture below to start the video.

There is no denying what makes Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino stick out among his ‘Jersey Shore’ castmates. It’s those rock hard abs, which he keeps in shape with daily GTL (gym, tan, laundry) sessions. His ab “situation” has become so infamous that he even released a rap song about it — now that’s serious business!

Sorrentino tells PopEater the world hasn’t heard the last of his singing, as he’s in the studio working on a few remixes and eventually a full album. “I’m lyrically gifted, so to speak, and definitely not too bad on the mic at all,” he boasted at the NoX Edge launch at GNC in New York.

Enrique Iglesias Happy to Do a Duet With ‘The Situation’

It appears Enrique Iglesias and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino have really hit it off. After the cast of MTV’s “Jersey Shore” worked their fist-pumping skills in Iglesias’ video for “I Like It” (also featuring Pitbull), the Latin hitmaker says he’d totally be open to a collaboration with the ab-tastic “Shore” star.

“I wouldn’t mind it,” Iglesias told E! Online about teaming with the Situation for a track. Sorrentino has been branching out from his gym, tanning and laundry duties, dropping a Baltimore club-influenced single called “The Situation Rap,” replete with wheezing alarms and Fatman Scoop’s amped-up hollers. Iglesias explained that a potential collaboration hinged on the type of track they came up with, but conceded that hooking up with Sorrentino would be a blast.

“I mean, a lot of it comes down to the song,” Iglesias said. “But it would be fun!”

And the “Jersey Shore” crew definitely brings the rowdiness to Iglesias’ “I Like It” video. The gelled-up, overly tanned collective concocts madcap ways to sneak into an Enrique concert, including seducing security guards and posing as roadies. The clip follows the reality-TV partyers as they lead the crowd in a rousing round of fist-pumping, with Pauly D jumping on the wheels of steel and the Sitch, of course, whipping off his shirt.

While shooting the video, Snooki told MTV News that “I Like It” captures the crew’s rambunctious spirit. “When everybody sees this music video, they’re pretty much gonna realize that we’re a bunch of nut jobs, just trying to crash Enrique’s concert.”

For his part, Iglesias was down for the debauchery. “Let’s go out there and have some fun,” the pop star told MTV News. “It’s the kids from the ‘Jersey Shore.’ What else would you ask for?”

Iglesias also told E! that the “Shore” kids may bring the craziness onscreen but behind the scenes, the crew kept the controversy to a minimum.

“You watch the show and you see all this drama and all these fights and you’re like, ‘Oh my God, all of this is going to be going on during the video!’ It wasn’t like that at all,” Iglesias said. “Once I got to hang out with them, the guys were so nice and I’m actually a big fan now.”

Even if a Situation/Iglesias collabo doesn’t happen, fans can still bump some Jersey-approved tunes with the Jersey Shore Soundtrack, set for a July 20 release. The album includes “I Like It,” as well as party-starting tracks by Akon, Lil Jon, LMFAO and Taio Cruz. The “Jersey Shore” season-one uncensored DVD will be available the same day.

New Jersey Shore Season 2 Trailer!

This season looks wilder than ever…

‘Jersey Shore’ Meets ‘Twilight’

‘Jersey Shore’s’ Mike (The Situation) Sorrentino launches clothing line with New York label Dilligaf

It looks like the Jersey Shore cast members are taking awesome advantage of their position.

Sorry, haters: Mike (The Situation) Sorrentino, the breakout star of MTV’s “Jersey Shore,” is set to launch his own clothing line.

According to MTV.com, the 27-year old Staten Island native has partnered with Dilligaf, a New York-based fashion house, for the collection that is set to debut in July around the same time as the second season of “Jersey Shore.”

He’s the second “Shore”-goer to make a play at the fashion game: castmate Jenni (J-Woww) Farley has started Filthy Couture, and recently debuted a piece from the collection at the MTV Movie Awards.

Sorrentino will reportedly be very hands-on with the development of his own product. The line will offer “vibrant” clothing that will expand to sweatshirts and hats, and will feature accents like foiling, cross-stitching and nail heads.

The Sitch shot to fame on “Jersey Shore” for flashing his abs and heading up the show’s party crew in Seaside Heights. Alongside castmates Pauly D, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Vinny Guadagnino, Sorrentino helped take the “Guido” lifestyle into the mainstream and introduced the “GTL” regimen (gym, tan, laundry) into the national lexicon.

He has certainly been making the most of his newfound fame. Apart from the Dilligaf line, Sorrentino has also made a foray into the rap game and starred in a Vitamin Water commercial with Mets star David Wright.

The Dilligaf line is Sorrentino’s biggest bid at expanding The Situation brand thus far, and the company, which champions itself as embodying the “laid-back American attitude” on its Web site, seems like the perfect match for Sorrentino. Even the acronym for “Dilligaf” (Does It Look Like I Give a F—) seems like something The Situation would wear on a T-shirt.

“Mike (The Situation) embodies our irreverent approach to life,” Dilligaf President Jodi Massry said in a press release. “He lives the ‘let’s not take things so seriously’ mentality every day. Dilligaf’s followers and the Sitch are kindred spirits. Anyone who watches his show knows that he is all about living life to the fullest and enjoying every day.”
